Job Opportunity: Operating Room Registered Nurse
Location: Lubbock, Texas
Employment Type: Travel/Contract
Contract Length: 13 weeks
Job Details
- Shift: Day shifts, 3 shifts per weekend (Friday, Saturday, Sunday)
- Hours: 12-hour shifts (7:00 AM to 7:00 PM), total 36 hours per week
- Weekend Requirement: Yes, must work Friday through Sunday
- Float: No floating between units
- On-call: Not required
- Patient Ratios: 1:1
- Special Experience Required: Must have experience in Orthopedics, Neurology, General Surgery, XI/DV5 Robot, and Trauma

Required Qualifications
Licensure
- Valid Registered Nurse (RN) license for Texas
Experience
- Minimum 1 year of recent Operating Room (OR) experience
- Experience in Orthopedics, Neurology, and Trauma specialties
Education
- Associate of Science in Nursing (ASN) / Associate Degree in Nursing (ADN)
Certifications
- Basic Life Support (BLS) issued by the American Heart Association
Health and Safety Requirements
- Physical Exam within 1 year of start, signed by MD, NP, PA, or DO
- Fit Mask test (annual, travel only)
- Tetanus/Diphtheria/Tdap vaccine within 10 years (declination accepted)
- Negative TB test or Chest X-Ray within 12 months, updated annually
- MMR (Measles, Mumps, Rubella) vaccination or positive titer (declination accepted)
- Hepatitis B vaccination or signed declination
- Varicella vaccination or positive titer (declination accepted)
- 9 Panel Drug Screen within 12 months (instant acceptable with attestation)
- Seasonal Flu Vaccine during flu season (declination accepted)
- COVID vaccination record preferred (declinations not required)
- Respiratory Safety Clearance (annual for travel)
Background and Verification
- Background Check within 90 days covering all locations lived/worked in past 7 years, updated annually
- Education Verification required for nursing degree
- Employment Application covering last 5 years (7 years for APN/Subcontractors)
- Minimum of 2 professional references covering 1 year of employment in a comparable specialty/setting
- Work History Verification required if exceptions to references are requested
- State-specific background checks as applicable
Uniform and Dress Code
- Licensed nursing personnel must wear solid navy blue uniforms or scrubs (scrub tops may have colored piping)
- Print tops are not acceptable except in specific pediatric or women's services units
Additional Notes
- Free parking available in unrestricted employee/visitor lots
- Photo for badge required (passport style with neutral background)
- Float Policy Acknowledgement required; may be asked to float to nearby facilities within reasonable distance
- Completion of required WorkRamp modules and facility-specific training prior to start
- Epic access training and transcripts may be required depending on region and facility
