Labor and Delivery RN

Overview

Travel/contract role in Ketchikan, Alaska
Start: ASAP
Contract length: 26 weeks
Shift: 3x12 variable schedule, with a minimum of 50–70% night shifts
Weekend coverage is required on an equitable rotating basis
Floating may be required 0–3 times per month, with OB float duties limited to helping hands, sitter/camera watching, or CNA-type work
First-time travelers are accepted
Pending license is accepted

Required Qualifications

Valid RN license in Alaska
Labor and Delivery (2 years of experience)
Labor and Delivery experience within the last year
Associate of Science in Nursing / Associate Degree in Nursing
BLS issued by American Heart Association or American Red Cross
ACLS issued by American Heart Association
AWHONN
NRP

Work Conditions

Scrub color: Royal Blue

Additional Notes

Compliance may take 4 weeks from offer to start, or 5+ weeks if an Alaska license is pending
Two positive references are required
A physical exam statement is required within 1 year of start
Fit testing is required within 1 year of start and must be updated annually
Negative TB screening or chest X-ray is required within 1 year of start
Drug testing is required within 30 days of start
During flu season, documentation of flu vaccination or declination is required
Orientation and onboarding materials must be completed before start
