Required Qualifications

• Active IL license or confirmation that the application process has been initiated
• BLS (AHA)

Submission requirements

• Last four digits of SSN
• Clinician’s middle initial
• Requested time off
• Negative drug screen for all panels

Unit details

• Ratios: day 1:4-6; night 1:5-6
• Every other weekend required
• No call requirement
• May be asked to work holidays depending on schedule
• No specific scrub color required
• Tele patients are accepted and monitored by central monitor tech
• No vents on the unit
• BiPAP, CPAP, and high flow patients are seen
• RT is available 24/7
• Pharmacy is available during the day, with ePharmacist support
• May float to another floor if competent, and will take a full patient assignment when floating
• Floor-specific orientation: 2 days in the department and 1 day of hospital/EMR orientation

Patient population

• COPD
• Sepsis
• CVA
• COVID
• Pneumonia
• Surgical patients, including hips, knees, cholecystectomy, hernia repair, and bowel resections
