36 hours per week
Contract length: 13 weeks

Required Qualifications

Valid RN license in North Carolina
PICU - Pediatric Intensive Care (2 years of experience)
PICU - Pediatric Intensive Care experience within the last year
BLS
PALS
Associate of Science in Nursing / Associate Degree in Nursing

Unit Details

Patient ratio: PICU 1 RN to 1-2 patients; Stepdown 1 RN to 2-3 patients
Floating: Peds and NICU
Self-scheduling
Scrub colors: Navy blue or white; or navy pants with white tops

Clinical Setting

Documentation system: Cerner
Equipment: Alaris pumps
Procedures performed on the unit include IV starts, caths, holding for LPs, central line dressing changes, hemodynamic monitoring, trach care, tube feeding and placement, ICP monitoring, and ventilator management

Scheduling

In a 6-week schedule, must work 3 weekends
