CT Tech - Radiology (Travel Position)
Location: Richmond, Virginia
Contract Length: 13 weeks
Hours per Week: 36
Unit Information
- Unit: CT
- Number of Scanners: 2 (GE and Phillips)
- Number of Staff: 7 full-time, 3 PRN
- Shift Coverage (when fully staffed):
- Day Shift: 3 staff
- Evening Shift: 2 staff
- Night Shift: 1 staff
- Weekend Shift: 2 staff (12-hour shifts)
- Patient Volume: 80-100 scans per day
- Equipment: GE and Phillips CT scanners
- EMR Systems: Meditech, GE Centricity PACS
Typical Procedures
- Abdominal and Pelvic scans
- Biopsies
- Head, Spine, Brain imaging
- Chest scans
- CT Angiographies (CTAs)
Required Qualifications
- Valid CT Technologist license in Virginia
- Minimum 2 years of CT Technologist experience, including experience within the last year
- ARRT (CT) certification
- BLS certification
- Successful completion of CT Technologist Assessment
Preferred Qualifications
- Experience with GE or Phillips CT equipment
Work Environment & Expectations
- Dress Code: Navy scrubs
- Weekend and On-call: 24-hour weekend call required
