Registered Nurse (RN) - Telemetry

Location

Lewiston, Maine

Assignment Details

Travel position
Contract length: 10 weeks
Shift: 6:45 PM – 7:15 AM
Weekly guaranteed hours: 36
Weekend hours: Every other weekend required
Call requirements: None
Float requirements: Yes, float to all units except M3; assist in Emergency Room as needed

Unit Information

Unit: Pediatric & Adult Med-Surg (M4)
Number of beds: 27
Patient ratios: 1:4-5
Patient population includes general med-surg, pediatrics, hemo and peritoneal dialysis, cardiac drips, post-cardiac procedures
Equipment used: Sigma Spectrum IV pumps, ceiling and portable Hoyer lifts, portable cardiac monitors, defibrillators (x2 for transport), EKG machine
Electronic Health Records (EHR): Omnicell, Cerner

Required Certifications

ACLS (Advanced Cardiovascular Life Support)
BLS (Basic Life Support)
NIH certification with Cerner experience
PALS (Pediatric Advanced Life Support) preferred but not required

Requirements/Qualifications

Valid RN license in Maine
Associate of Science in Nursing / Associate Degree in Nursing
Minimum 3 years of telemetry nursing experience, including telemetry experience within the last year
ACLS certification
BLS certification
NIH Stroke Scale (NIHSS) certification
Experience with Cerner Electronic Health Records system
