Required Qualifications
- Valid RN license in Texas
- Telemetry experience within the last year
- 1 year of telemetry experience
- ACLS
- BLS
- Associate of Science in Nursing / Associate Degree in Nursing
- Cardiac rhythm interpretation
- Respiratory experience including advanced airways and oxygen management
- Cardiac drips (non-titrated) experience
Unit Details
- 34 private rooms
- Typical night staffing includes 1 charge nurse, 7 RNs, and 3 PCTs
- Patient ratio: 5:1
- Uses telemetry monitoring and Pyxis
- EMR: Meditech
Key Skills
- Cardiac rhythm interpretation
- Respiratory experience, including advanced airways and oxygen management
- Cardiac drips that are not titrated

- Stress tests
- Heart cath
- CABG
- Paracentesis
- Thoracentesis
- Chest tubes
Floating
- May float to Med Surg, Med Surg Telemetry, and ED holding for this level of care
