Job Summary
Seeking an experienced Labor and Delivery RN with at least 3-5 years of experience, preferably trained in the LDRP (Labor, Delivery, Recovery, Postpartum) model. The role involves care in labor and delivery, postpartum, c-section circulation, and special care nursery.
Unit & Patient Population
- Unit: Labor & Delivery (LDRP)
- Number of Beds: 24
- Patient Ratios: 1:6 (census ranges from 3 to 24 patients)
- Patient Population: Neonates and Adults
- Equipment: External Fetal Monitoring (EFM), IV therapy
- Electronic Health Records: Cerner, Powerchart, Omnicell Med System
Shift & Schedule
- Shift: 6:45 PM – 7:15 AM (3x12-hour shifts), rotating shifts with self-scheduling
- Weekly Guaranteed Hours: 36
- Call Requirements: Yes
Required Certifications
- Neonatal Resuscitation Program (NRP)
- Basic Life Support (BLS)
- Advanced Cardiovascular Life Support (ACLS)
- AWHONN Intermediate (preferred)
Requirements/Qualifications
- Valid RN license in Maine
- Minimum 2 years of Labor and Delivery experience, including experience within the last year
- Experience in LDRP (Labor, Delivery, Recovery & Postpartum)
- Completion of at least one travel nursing assignment
- Associate of Science in Nursing (ASN) or Associate Degree in Nursing (ADN)
- Neonatal Resuscitation Program (NRP) certification
- Basic Life Support (BLS) certification
- Advanced Cardiovascular Life Support (ACLS) certification

- No first-time travelers accepted for this assignment
- No float requirements
- Dress Code: Navy blue scrubs
