- Unit: Cardiovascular Operating Room (CVOR)
- Number of OR suites: 2
- Number of staff: 6 (3 RNs, 3 CSTs)
- Shift: Day shift only
- Patient ratio: 1:1
- EMR system: Meditech
- Floating areas: Operating Room (OR)
- Dress code: Light blue scrubs provided
- Call requirements: Weekday, weekend, and holiday call required
Typical Procedures
- Coronary Artery Bypass Grafting (CABG)
- Thoracotomy
- Endovascular Abdominal Aortic Aneurysm repair (Endo AAA)
- Valve Replacement
- Pacemaker procedures
Required Qualifications
- Valid CVOR Technologist license in Virginia
- CVOR Technologist with a minimum of 2 years of experience, including experience within the last year
- Certified Surgical Technologist (CST) certification and experience
- Basic Life Support (BLS) certification
- Advanced Cardiovascular Life Support (ACLS) certification
