Unit Details

• Unit: Operating Room
• Number of Beds: 815
• Documentation System: Cerner
• Scheduling: Variable schedule with call required
• Floating: May float to other departments
• Dress Code: Scrubs provided by facility

Required Qualifications

• Valid RN license in North Carolina
• Minimum 2 years of Operating Room (OR) experience, including experience within the last year
• Experience in Burn, Orthopedics, Plastic Surgery, Urology, and Trauma
• Certifications: ACLS, BLS
• Associate of Science in Nursing (ASN) or Associate Degree in Nursing (ADN)

Skills and Experience

• Broad surgical knowledge required
• Experience in multiple service lines including:

  • General surgery
  • Gynecology (GYN)
  • Robotics
  • Neurosurgery
  • Orthopedics
  • Plastic surgery
  • Urology
  • Burn and trauma

• Procedures performed on unit are variable
• Candidates should be prepared for a variable schedule and call requirements
• May be required to float to other departments
