Registered Nurse - Telemetry Contract

Overview

• Location: New York, New York
• Setting: Med Surg / Tele Unit
• Schedule: Nights, 7:00 PM–7:30 AM
• Hours: 34.5 hours per week
• Shift pattern: 3x12 schedule with weekends required; every other weekend required
• Contract length: 9 weeks

Required Qualifications

• Valid RN license in New York
• Telemetry (2 years of experience)
• Telemetry experience within the last year
• BLS
• ACLS
• Associate of Science in Nursing / Associate Degree in Nursing
• 1 year travel nursing experience
• Modified Primary Nursing

Preferred Qualifications

• Bachelor of Science in Nursing preferred
• Associate degree in nursing considered only with relevant experience and/or active matriculation in a BSN program
• EPIC experience highly preferred

Key Responsibilities

• Provide safe, competent nursing care to assigned patients
• Assess patient needs and use critical thinking in care management
• Collaborate with the interdisciplinary care team
• Educate patients and caregivers on care plans and transition of care
• Support patient experience through therapeutic communication and purposeful rounding
• Participate in quality, safety, and process improvement efforts
• Perform charge nurse duties as assigned
• Document nursing care accurately and thoroughly
• Help coordinate supplies, staffing resources, and patient throughput

• Ventilator experience is listed among the skills for this role
• Travel positions require 1 year of travel experience; this is not required for per diem positions
