Job Opportunity: Oncology Registered Nurse (Travel/Contract)

Location: Lafayette, Louisiana
Contract Length: 13 weeks

Position Overview

Night shift: 18:45 – 07:15 (3 shifts per week, 12 hours each; 36 hours/week)
Patient population: Adults and geriatrics
Average daily census: 14 patients
Unit size: 16 rooms
Nurse-to-patient ratio: 1:6
Floating: Agency staff floated first, typically to similar or lower acuity floors
Scrub color: Royal blue

Important: Upon starting, you may be assigned to an Emergency Team with an expectation to stay onsite until the event passes or be part of a relief team. Candidates uncomfortable with this should not apply.

Required Qualifications

Valid Registered Nurse (RN) license in Louisiana
Minimum 2 years of oncology nursing experience, with oncology experience within the last year
Basic Life Support (BLS) certification issued by the American Heart Association
Associate of Science in Nursing (ASN) or Associate Degree in Nursing (ADN)
