Location
- New Orleans, Louisiana

Shift
- Night shift, 3x12 hours
- 6:45 PM to 7:15 AM
Weekly Hours
- 36 hours
Contract Length
- 13 weeks
Unit Overview
- Hematology, medical oncology, bone marrow transplant, and gynecologic/surgical oncology patient population
- 7-bed positive pressure wing for bone marrow transplant and acute leukemia patients
- Bedside central venous catheter placements and bone marrow biopsies
Work Expectations
- First-time travelers welcome
- 1:4 nurse-to-patient ratio
- Float requirement
- Every other weekend coverage
- May be assigned to an emergency team during an emergency event and expected to remain at the facility or serve on the relief team
Required Qualifications
- Valid RN license in Louisiana
- Oncology experience within the last year
- 1 year of oncology experience
- BLS issued by American Heart Association
- ACLS issued by American Heart Association
- Associate of Science in Nursing / Associate Degree in Nursing
- Hematology experience
- Surgical Oncology experience
- Bone Marrow Transplant experience
- Experience with Epic
Preferred Qualifications
- ONS

- Current valid government photo ID required
- Resume/application required
- Skills checklist required
- Competency exam required
- Background check and various pre-start compliance items are required
- Fit testing, physical exam, TB screening, immunization documentation, and drug screening are required before start
