Overview

Travel/Contract role in Winston Salem, North Carolina
Night shift: 18:45–07:15
36 hours per week
13-week contract
Target ratio: 1:7
Locals accepted
No call requirement
Every other weekend required
Floating may be required to task in med surg units when needed
Unit orientation: 32 hours
Hospital orientation is during week one, and the traveler must be available for classes each day
Scrubs: Navy blue

Required Qualifications

Valid RN license in North Carolina
Psychiatric (2 years of experience)
Psychiatric experience within the last year
Associate of Science in Nursing / Associate Degree in Nursing
Experience with substance use/chemical dependency
Experience with anxiety disorders
Experience with assault/violence management
Experience with bipolar disorder
Experience with degenerative disorders (Alzheimer's, ALS, Parkinson's)
Experience with depressive disorder
Experience with personality disorder
Experience with post-traumatic stress disorder
Experience with psychotic disorders
Experience with schizophrenia-spectrum disorders
Experience with Epic
MOAB certification
RTO after booking is not allowed

Preferred Qualifications

Congenital/developmental disorders experience
Profound impulse control issues experience
Starting and maintaining IVs experience

Unit Details

Behavioral Health is split between 2 floors: 2nd and 9th
Team members rotate between both floors and are expected to work in every area of acuity
Patient population includes adults, geriatrics, and all mental health diagnoses
Unit uses ObservSmart for patient monitoring
Pyxis and SBAR are used on the unit
