RN Oncology Infusion Clinic - Adult
Location
Oklahoma City, Oklahoma
Contract Length
13 weeks
Schedule
10-hour shifts, 40 hours per week
Overview
Provides nursing care for adult oncology infusion clinic patients, including chemotherapy administration, medication administration, IV infusions and blood products, patient education, phone triage, follow-up coordination, and assistance with conscious sedation and minor diagnostic procedures.
Required Qualifications
- Valid RN license in Oklahoma
- Oncology experience within the last year
- 1 year of oncology experience
- 1 year of chemotherapy experience
- Outpatient setting experience
- Infusion experience
- Associate of Science in Nursing or Associate Degree in Nursing
- Current Basic Life Support certification from the American Heart Association
- ACLS certification from the American Heart Association
- ONS/ONCC certification
Skills
- Knowledge of professional nursing theory, practices, techniques, and procedures
- Ability to organize, plan, coordinate, and evaluate nursing services
- Ability to apply nursing techniques
- Ability to maintain good working relationships with other employees
- Good verbal and written communication skills
- Ability to respond effectively to cultural and language needs of patients and visitors
- Some computer skills
Preferred Education
Bachelor of Science in Nursing or higher from a board-approved program
