Overview

• Intensive Care Unit (ICU) staff nurse role in Olney, Illinois
• Night shift, 8 hours per day, 40 hours per week
• 13-week contract

Required Qualifications

• Valid RN license in Illinois
• ICU - Intensive Care Unit (1 year of experience)
• ICU - Intensive Care Unit experience within the last year
• BLS issued by American Heart Association
• ACLS issued by American Heart Association
• PALS issued by American Heart Association
• Associate of Science in Nursing / Associate Degree in Nursing

Preferred

• BSN

Role Details

• RN in the ICU providing nursing care to patients receiving therapies within multidisciplinary ICU activities
• Supervises work assignments of nursing assistants and is responsible to the Nurse Manager
• Works with ventilated patients for early mobility
• Able to assist with intubation, central line insertions, and arterial line insertion and care
• Uses critical thinking and nursing judgment to evaluate patient condition and respond to changes in status
