CT Tech Travel/Contract Position

Location: Harlan, Kentucky
Contract Length: 13 weeks

Job Summary

• Requires 1+ year experience as an X-Ray Tech or CT Tech.
• Experience with GE equipment and PACS required.
• Meditech EMR experience preferred.
• Schedule: Friday through Sunday, 10:00 AM to 10:30 PM (3 shifts per week, 12+ hours each).
• Floating within scope of practice required.
• Every other weekend required.
• Must reside within 75 miles of the facility.

Required Qualifications

• Valid CT Technologist license in Kentucky or willingness to apply for Kentucky licensure immediately upon accepting the offer (application must be submitted the same day).
• Minimum of 1 year of CT Technologist experience within the last year.
• Experience as an X-Ray Technician.
• Certification in Basic Life Support (BLS) issued by the American Heart Association.
• ARRT certification.
• Experience with GE Healthcare equipment.

Compliance & Documentation Requirements

• Valid, unexpired government-issued photo ID (e.g., driver’s license or state ID).
• Background check per specified panel including 9-panel drug screen (no THC) with expanded opiates and oxycodone; must be completed within 30 days prior to start and updated annually.
• Annual physical exam or physician note within 1 year prior to start, stating candidate is cleared to work without restrictions.
• Immunizations and health screenings:

  • Flu vaccine or approved medical/religious exemption (must apply within 48 hours of offer acceptance).
  • Negative QuantiFERON TB blood test within 1 year prior to start (T-Spot/PPD not accepted). If positive TB, chest X-ray within last 5 years plus TB questionnaire required.
  • Proof of 2 MMR vaccinations or positive titers for measles, mumps, and rubella.
  • Hepatitis B series, titer, or declination within 1 year of start.
  • Proof of 2 varicella vaccinations or positive titer.
  • Tetanus/Diphtheria/Tdap valid within 10 years (Td not accepted). Declinations acceptable if within 1 year of start.
• Fit mask test to be completed onsite; PAPRs not accommodated due to facial hair. Medical or religious exemptions must be submitted on day one.
• Drug testing must be completed through specified panel within 30 days of start and updated annually.

Orientation & Training

• Bi-weekly orientation sessions.
• Required competency exams including medication/pharmacology and dysrhythmia/EKG competency (updated annually).
• Must complete facility-specific safety manual acknowledgement.

Additional Notes

• Assignment confirmation must be submitted within 24 hours of offer acceptance.
• Candidates must not be submitted to more than one job at a time.
• Ratios and schedules may fluctuate based on census and call-ins.
• Various facility-specific forms and attestations related to employee health, flu vaccination, TB, OSHA respirator medical evaluation, and fit testing are required prior to start.
• Candidate must review and comply with facility fit test policy and badge instructions.

This position is ideal for CT Techs with at least 1 year of experience, current or eligible Kentucky licensure, and the ability to work a weekend-heavy schedule with floating responsibilities.
