• 2 years of specialty experience
• First-time travelers accepted

Required Qualifications

• Valid RN license in Georgia
• Med Surg (2 years of experience)
• Med Surg experience within the last year
• BLS issued by American Heart Association or American Red Cross
• NIHSS
• Associate of Science in Nursing / Associate Degree in Nursing

Clinical Setting

• Medical-surgical unit
• 34 beds
• Average daily census of 27
• Patient ratio: 1:6

Key Clinical Skills / Case Mix

• Care for patients with diagnoses including appendicitis, cholecystitis, small bowel obstruction, pneumonia, COPD exacerbation, sepsis, hypertension, hypo/hyperglycemia, prostatectomy, appendectomy, cholecystectomy, ostomy creation/reversal, exploratory laparotomy, and bowel resections
• Experience with NGTs, chest tubes, feeding tubes, and wound vacs

Work Expectations

• Every other weekend
• Floating within facility/scope of practice as needed
• No call required
• Must be able to work major holidays if they fall during the assignment
• Maximum 7 days of requested time off
• Full compliance required before start
