Job Opportunity: Labor and Delivery Registered Nurse

Location: Knoxville, Tennessee
Employment Type: Travel/Contract
Contract Length: 13 weeks


Job Details

  • Unit: Labor & Delivery
  • Shift: Night (4x12 hours), 7:00 PM to 7:30 AM
  • Hours per Week: 48
  • Schedule Options: 3x12 or 4x12 shifts available
  • On-Call: 36 hours every 6 weeks
  • Weekend Requirement: Every other weekend or 2 weekends per month
  • Nurse-Patient Ratio: 1:2
  • Float Requirement: Yes

Required Certifications

  • ACLS (Advanced Cardiac Life Support) - AHA or ARC accepted
  • AWHONN Intermediate (for Electronic Fetal Monitoring)
  • BLS (Basic Life Support) - AHA or ARC accepted

  • NRP (Neonatal Resuscitation Program)

  • Competency exams required including medication/pharmacology, dysrhythmia/EKG (except L&D), and core competencies with minimum 80% pass rate
  • Color blindness test required within 12 months prior to start (100% score required)
