Schedule

• Days
• 36 hours per week
• 12-hour shifts
• Every other weekend
• Shift options include 8-, 10-, and 12-hour schedules

Required Qualifications

• Valid Registered Respiratory Therapist license in Connecticut
• Respiratory Therapist experience
• 2 years of experience
• Respiratory Therapist experience within the last year
• ACLS
• BLS issued by American Heart Association
• PALS
• Extensive ventilator (vent) management experience

Clinical Setting

• Inpatient coverage across ICU, ER, L&D, Med-Surg, Psych, recovery room, and sleep lab
• Primarily adult patients, with some pediatric patients in the ER and minor surgeries

Key Responsibilities

• Draw and read ABGs
• Draw from arterial lines
• Assist with bronchoscopy
• Attend codes and rapid responses
• Assist with intubations
• Support L&D with blenders and humidifiers
• Stabilize and transfer patients
• Provide occasional sleep lab support

Additional Details

• Floating required across all areas
• No call requirement
• Orientation: 2 days to 1 week
• Black and teal scrubs
• Must be flexible and communicate openly
