Job Overview

Required Qualifications
- Valid RN license in Texas
- Associate of Science in Nursing / Associate Degree in Nursing
- Labor and Delivery (1 year of experience)
- Labor and Delivery experience within the last year
- ACLS
- AWHONN
- BLS
- NRP
- OBED (Obstetric/Obstetrics) experience
- Ability to circulate C-sections
- Ability to manage high-risk antepartum patients
- Ability to manage COVID patients in labor, C-section, antepartum, and OBED settings
- OB/GYN experience
Unit Experience Needed
- OBED
- Circulating C-sections
- Managing high-risk antepartum patients
- Labor experience
- Managing COVID patients in labor, C-section, antepartum, and OBED settings
Preferred Experience
- Advanced FM
Unit Details
- Labor & Delivery / Antepartum unit
- 19 labor beds, 5 OBED beds, 3 PACU beds, 3 surgical beds, and 8 antepartum beds
- Patient ratios: 2:1 labor, 3:1 OBED, 4:1 antepartum, 1:1 OR
- Floating may include a low-risk antepartum unit
Schedule
- Possible four weekend shifts per month
- Mandatory 2 weekend shifts per month
- No on-call
Procedures Performed
- C-sections
- Cerclage
- BTL
- D&C for postpartum hemorrhage only
Dress Code
- Royal blue scrubs
- No t-shirts
