Overview
- Travel RN role in the ER unit
- Location: San Antonio, Texas
- Assignment length: 13 weeks
- Shift: 7P-7:30A
- Guaranteed hours: 36 per week
- Weekend: Every other
- Call required
- Travelers are required to float
Required Qualifications
- Valid RN license in Texas
- ED - Emergency Department (2 years of experience)
- ED - Emergency Department experience within the last year
- ACLS
- BLS
- PALS
- TNCC
- NIHSS
- Associate of Science in Nursing / Associate Degree in Nursing
Preferred Qualifications
- CEN
- Meditech experience
- Strong teamwork and communication skills
Unit Details
- Documentation system: Meditech
- Procedures include conscious sedation, intubations, behavioral health watch, sepsis, stroke/TPA administration, and chest pain/heart alerts
Dress Code
- RN scrub color: Navy
- Undershirts and jackets: white, navy, or black only
- No acrylic nails, nails no longer than 1/4 inch, clean, no chipped polish
- Hair must be off the shoulders and natural in color
- Body art should be covered whenever possible
- Visible piercings other than ears are prohibited
