Required Qualifications

BLS
First Assist certification
CST or Certified Surgical Assistant
CVOR Technologist experience within the last year
CVOR Technologist (2 years of experience)
CVOR First Assist experience
Certified Surgical Technologist experience

Key Role Details

Primary surgical assistant for cardiovascular surgery
Must be able to cannulate when going on bypass and coming off bypass
May need to pass cannulation suture
Must be able to suture as directed by surgeons
Strong cardiac skills required
May float to Main OR
Average of 85 surgeries per month

Additional Notes

Hospital-issued scrubs
Candidates who were surgeons or physicians in another country will not be accepted
Required licenses and certifications must be attached with submission or the candidate will be rejected
