Registered Nurse - Med Surg (Travel)

Unit Information

Rehab unit with 41 beds
Staff: 60+ nursing personnel
Day shift staffing: 4 RNs and 5 LPNs
Night shift staffing: 4 RNs and 4 LPNs
Patient ratio: 1 RN to 6 patients
Equipment used: patient lifts, iSTAT, glucometer, inhalers/breathing treatments, wound vac dressing changes
Electronic Medical Record system: Meditech

Required Qualifications

Valid RN license in Kansas
Med Surg / Telemetry experience within the last year (minimum 1 year)
BLS certification
Associate of Science in Nursing / Associate Degree in Nursing

Preferred Qualifications

CRRN certification
Knowledge of Quality Indicator scoring in post-acute settings
Ability to care for telemetry patients and pass Airstrip telemetry competency
ACLS certification

Typical Procedures

Assist in rehabilitation care plans established by interdisciplinary team
Lab draws
Administration of IV antibiotics and other IV medications as needed
Blood administration as needed
Head-to-toe patient assessments

Ideal Candidate Attributes
