First Assist - Operating Room (OR)

Location: Asheville, North Carolina
Employment Type: Travel
Contract Length: 13 weeks

Unit and Work Environment

Unit: Main Operating Room
Number of Beds: 29
Patient Ratios: 1:1
Staffing: Unit secretaries and tech availability
Equipment: Standard OR equipment including 5 Da Vinci Robots, Mako and Velys Robots
Documentation System: Cerner
Scheduling: Flexible with call required
Dress Code: Scrubs provided

Procedures and Specialties

Assist surgeon during:
- Orthopedic trauma, ortho, spine
- Neurosurgery
- Gynecology (GYN)
- General surgery
- Robotics
- Vascular surgery
- Pediatrics (Peds)
- ENT, Plastics, Podiatry, Oral Maxillofacial (OMF), Dental, Eye Trauma

Required Qualifications

Surgical First Assistant (2 years of experience)
Surgical First Assistant experience within the last year
ACLS
BLS
RNFA Certification
