Contract

- Day/night rotation
- 12-hour shifts
- 36 hours per week
Required Qualifications
- Registered Nurse license
- BLS certification
- PALS certification
Schedule and Work Setting
- Self-scheduling
- Weekends as needed
- Floating to ED/ICU for 1:1s as needed
- First to float
Unit Details
- Med Surg/Peds unit
- Adults and pediatric patients
- Common patient types include UTI, altered mental status, pneumonia, and COPD
- 17 beds total
- Nurse-to-patient ratios: days 1:4, nights 1:5
- Charge nurse takes an assignment
- Nurse aides are on the unit
- Pediatrician is on call for pediatric patients
- No vents on the unit; occasional BiPAP is managed primarily by respiratory therapy
- Nurses apply telemetry to patients
Orientation
- 1 unit-specific 12-hour shift of orientation, or one day and one night if needed
Additional Notes
- Navy blue scrubs
- RTO must be submitted upfront; additional RTO will not be approved
- Candidates may not be full time, part time, or PRN with any facility associated with CommonSpirit, including CHI and/or Dignity
- Facial hair may affect fit testing requirements
