Registered Nurse - Emergency Department (Travel)

Location: Tuscaloosa, Alabama

Contract Length: 13 weeks

Job Overview

• Work primarily in the Emergency Department (ED) of a Level III Trauma Center and Level II Stroke Center.
• ED treats over 60,000 patients annually with nurse-to-patient ratios ranging from 1:1 (critical/trauma) to 1:3-4 (other patients).
• Must be willing to float to other units and hospitals as needed.
• Schedule includes every other weekend and holidays as required.
• Accepting 36 or 48 hours per week (typically 36 guaranteed hours).
• Patient-facing clinical role.
• Facility uses Meditech EMR.
• Dress code: Solid navy scrubs.
• Parking available.

Required Qualifications

Education

• Associate of Science in Nursing or Associate Degree in Nursing.

Licenses & Certifications

• Valid Registered Nurse (RN) license in the State of Alabama.
• Certifications:

  • AHA ACLS (Advanced Cardiovascular Life Support)
  • AHA BLS (Basic Life Support)
  • AHA PALS (Pediatric Advanced Life Support)
  • NIHSS (National Institutes of Health Stroke Scale)
  • TNCC (Trauma Nursing Core Course)

Experience

• Minimum 2 years of recent Emergency Department (ED) nursing experience, including experience within the last year.
