Contract Length: 13 weeks
Job Overview
- Work primarily in the Emergency Department (ED) of a Level III Trauma Center and Level II Stroke Center.
- ED treats over 60,000 patients annually with nurse-to-patient ratios ranging from 1:1 (critical/trauma) to 1:3-4 (other patients).
- Must be willing to float to other units and hospitals as needed.
- Schedule includes every other weekend and holidays as required.
- Accepting 36 or 48 hours per week (typically 36 guaranteed hours).
- Patient-facing clinical role.
- Facility uses Meditech EMR.
- Dress code: Solid navy scrubs.
- Parking available.
Required Qualifications
Education
- Associate of Science in Nursing or Associate Degree in Nursing.
Licenses & Certifications
- Valid Registered Nurse (RN) license in the State of Alabama.
- Certifications:
- AHA ACLS (Advanced Cardiovascular Life Support)
- AHA BLS (Basic Life Support)
- AHA PALS (Pediatric Advanced Life Support)
- NIHSS (National Institutes of Health Stroke Scale)
- TNCC (Trauma Nursing Core Course)
Experience
- Minimum 2 years of recent Emergency Department (ED) nursing experience, including experience within the last year.
