RN Endoscopy

Role

RN in Endoscopy (GI + bronchoscopy)

Schedule

40 hours per week
Weekend hours: call only
Call is rotated fairly among 3-4 RNs

Unit details

2 procedure rooms
Adult patient population
May be required to float to sister unit One-Day Surgery

Required Qualifications

Valid RN license in Virginia
Endoscopy (2 years of experience)
Endoscopy experience within the last year
ACLS
BLS
Associate of Science in Nursing / Associate Degree in Nursing

Preferred Qualifications

BSN preferred

Clinical notes

Common procedures/treatments include screening colonoscopy, EGD, ERCP, EBUS, and navigational bronchoscopy
Patient ratios: 1:1 during procedures; 1:3 if assigned to pre- and post-procedure
Equipment includes endoscopy scopes and towers, Blakemore tubes, and Endo-specific disposables
