Registered Nurse (RN) – Emergency Room (ER) – Nights

Job Description

• Responsible and accountable for patient care during assigned shift.
• Duties include assessing, planning, implementing, and evaluating patient care using age-specific criteria.
• Make clinical judgments based on scientific knowledge and skills.
• Assist in planning, directing, and teaching non-RN staff such as LPNs, Patient Care Technicians, and Unit Secretaries.
• Must float to all units within skill level and scope of practice; refusal to float may result in being sent home without pay for the week.

Required Qualifications

• Valid RN license in Ohio
• Minimum 1 year of Emergency Department (ED) experience within the last year
• Associate of Science in Nursing / Associate Degree in Nursing
• Current American Heart Association certifications:

  • BLS (Basic Life Support)
  • ACLS (Advanced Cardiovascular Life Support)
  • PALS (Pediatric Advanced Life Support)
• Current TNCC (Trauma Nursing Core Course) certification

Additional Information

• Nonbillable hours: 8 hours.
• Overtime, holiday, and callback shifts compensated at 1.25x regular rates.
• Electronic Medical Record system used: MediTech.
• Scrub color: Navy Blue.
