Job Opportunity: Utilization Review Nurse (Travel/Contract)

Location: Pocatello, Idaho
Employment Type: Travel/Contract
Shift: Day shift, 5 days per week, 8 hours per day (8:30 AM – 5:00 PM)
Contract Length: 13 weeks

Job Summary

The Utilization Review Nurse is responsible for:

Medical necessity review, discharge planning, and utilization review.
Communicating changes in patient care plans to the healthcare team.
Maintaining knowledge of community resources and referral processes.
Anticipating patient needs and facilitating timely transitions to alternative levels of care.
Documenting screenings and discharge plans consistently and promptly.

The unit accepts first-time travel nurses. Candidates must be willing to comply with a 100-mile radius rule (no local candidates).

Required Qualifications

Valid Registered Nurse (RN) license in Idaho
Associate of Science in Nursing (ASN) or Associate Degree in Nursing (ADN)
Minimum 1 year of case management experience within the last year
Experience in utilization review
Basic Life Support (BLS) certification issued by the American Heart Association or American Red Cross
