Role Overview

Travel/Contract role in Radiology / Cardiology
Unit: 2 Cath Labs, 1 Hybrid OR
Adult and Geriatric patient population
11-week contract
Day shift: 4x10s, 06:30-17:00, rotating days as needed Monday-Friday

Required Qualifications

Valid Cath Lab Technologist license in Maryland
Cath Lab Technologist (2 years of experience)
Cath Lab Technologist experience within the last year
ARRT (R) or RCIS
BLS issued by American Heart Association
ACLS - Advanced Cardiac Life Support issued by American Heart Association
On-call required
First-time travelers accepted

Preferred Qualifications

RN in a tech role may be considered with recent/current cath/interventional scrub experience

Scheduling / Coverage

On-call up to 13 weekdays as needed, 5pm to 6am Monday-Thursday
Weekends required, including on-call Friday 5pm to 6am Monday
3 weekends per contract
Holidays required, including on-call coverage as scheduled
Block scheduling cannot be accommodated

Notes

Local travelers accepted at a reduced local travel rate

Pros

The charge nurses and patient population is friendly.

Cons

They will short staff you every day. I got attitude multiple times when trying to take lunch 9 hours into my shift because ‘we don’t really do that here.’ Incredibly frustrating staffing levels, especially on the oncology floor.
