Job Opportunity: Registered Nurse (LTAC MS/Tele RN - Nights)

Job Details

• Shift: Nights
• Start Date: ASAP
• Patient Ratio: 1:6
• Experience Required: Minimum 2 years in specialty (will consider 1+ year but 2 years preferred)
• First-time Travelers: Accepted
• Weekend Requirement: As needed
• On-Call Requirement: Yes (2 on-call shifts OR 2 additional shifts per 6 weeks)
• Floating: Floating within scope to lower level of care based on critical staffing needs is expected
• Block Scheduling: Not accommodated
• Local Candidates: Not accepted (local radius rule: 75 miles)
• Pending License: Accepted if obtained before starting
• Attendance Policy: More than two missed shifts per 13-week contract without reasonable explanation may lead to contract review/cancellation
• Testing: Must pass arrhythmia and medication tests on the first day
• Fit Test: Shaving may be required to pass onsite fit test

Required Certifications

• ACLS (Advanced Cardiac Life Support) – Required (AHA or AHA RQI acceptable)
• BLS (Basic Life Support) – Required for all candidates (AHA or AHA RQI acceptable)
• NIH Stroke Certification – Required
• Pass/Fail Testing (EKG/Medication): Cardiac Arrhythmia and Medication Dosage Calculation tests on first day; two attempts allowed
• Acknowledgement of Pass/Fail Testing: Required for RNs
• State License Verification: Primary source verification required
• NURSYS Verification: Required for all RNs
• Orientation Safety Manual Acknowledgement: Required

Required Experience & Competencies

• Minimum 2 years RN experience preferred (1+ year may be considered)
• Must be able to pass medication/pharmacology competency exam within 1 year of start and update annually
• Must pass arrhythmia and medication tests on first day of orientation
• Floating within scope of practice expected

Health & Compliance Requirements

• Physical exam within 1 year, updated annually
• Negative TB test or chest X-ray within 3 months of start (Qgold, Tspot preferred)
• Required immunizations or proof of immunity (Measles, Mumps, Rubella, Varicella, Hepatitis B) or approved exemptions
• Drug testing within 60 days of start (10 panel + Oxycodone + Marijuana)
• Seasonal flu vaccination or declination (mask required if declined during flu season)
• COVID vaccination (Dose 1 and 2 required or declination form)
• Respirator medical clearance within 1 year if respirator use is required
• Background checks including 7-year criminal history, education verification, and state-specific searches
• References: 2 references within 1 year of start (Qualivis requirement)
• Employment application required

• Must carry government-issued photo ID during hours of service
• Must comply with on-call policy for holiday coverage
• Facility has an attendance policy for travelers
• Candidates must be able to pass all required exams and tests by the second try
• Floating may include working in lower acuity units within traveler’s skillset
• No block scheduling accommodations available
• Locals within 75 miles are not accepted for this role
