Job Overview

Location: Charleston, South Carolina
Employment Type: Travel/Contract
Contract Length: 13 weeks
Shift: Tuesday–Friday, 10:00 AM–8:30 PM
Hours: 40 per week
On-call: Required on a rotation with staff
Floating: Required within scope, including sister facilities
Caseload: Varies by shift and location

Required Qualifications

Valid CT Technologist license in South Carolina
CT Technologist (6 months of experience)
CT Technologist experience within the last year
BLS issued by American Heart Association or American Red Cross
ARRT (CT)
SCRQSA (CT)
Experience working with Level 1 Trauma patients
Peripheral IV (PIV) insertion experience
Siemens CT equipment experience

Additional Requirements

Radiation badge must be provided by the agency
Must attend all staff meetings
All requested time off must be submitted at the time of application
Radius rule applies: 60 miles
Local candidates may be accepted on a case-by-case basis

Pros

Everyone was so helpful and nice when i started. beautiful hospital grounds with ample outdoor areas to hang out during breaks/lunch.Amazing cafeteria and always had at least 5 food trucks outside the hospital for linch. Friendly staff including doctors and great patients. patient to staff ratio was awesome and always had a great team mentality of helping everyone out when needed.

Cons

The only con of the area was cost of living especially rent. I rented downtown so I could walk to work but coworkers who lived off of the main downtown area on other islands complained of heavy traffic.
