Overview

• Travel/Contract role in Kalamazoo, Michigan
• Night shift: 3x12 hours, 19:00–7:30
• 36 hours per week
• Contract length: 13 weeks
• 36 or 48 hours available; preference should be noted in submittal
• Up to 26 weeks offered; preference should be noted in submittal

Role Details

• Holiday coverage is required
• Weekend requirement: every other weekend
• No call requirement
• Float scope: may float to other MS, ICU, and ED, and may take M/S patients as needed
• Ratios may be 1:6 and may flex higher; support staff is on site in rare occasions
• Strong post-surgical competencies are required

Required Qualifications

• Valid RN license in Michigan
• Med Surg / Telemetry (1.5 years of experience)
• Med Surg / Telemetry experience within the last year
• BLS issued by American Heart Association
• NIHSS
• Associate of Science in Nursing / Associate Degree in Nursing
• Experience with feeding tubes
• Experience with PICC lines
• IV insertion skills
• Experience with tracheostomy management
• Experience with wound care
• Colostomy care
• Pre/Post Hemodialysis Management
• Accessing Ports
• Blood Product Administration
• Peripheral Line Care/Management
