Role Overview
Phase I PACU Registered Nurse providing comprehensive, evidence-based nursing care to pediatric and adult patients during the immediate post-anesthesia period.
Setting
Phase I Post Anesthesia Care Unit (PACU) caring for patients after ophthalmology, otolaryngology (ENT), and head and neck surgical procedures, including pediatric otolaryngology, complex airway procedures, microvascular reconstruction, and head and neck oncologic surgery.

13 weeks
Required Qualifications
- Valid RN license in Massachusetts
- PACU - Post Anesthesia Care (1 year of experience)
- PACU - Post Anesthesia Care experience within the last year
- BLS issued by American Heart Association or American Red Cross
- Associate of Science in Nursing / Associate Degree in Nursing
Preferred Certifications
- PALS
- ACLS
Onboarding Requirements
- Fit test within 365 days of start date and updated annually
- Respirator Medical Clearance attestation if fit test is required for skill
- MMR documentation or proof of immunity
- Influenza vaccine
- TB test documentation within 3 months of start date
- Health statement signed by MD/DO/NP/PA within 365 days of start date
- Criminal background check
- Massachusetts CORI
- Confirmation of Assignment/POI form
- Education verification
