Registered Nurse - Step Down Unit

Location: Elmira, New York
Employment Type: Long-Term Assignment (13 weeks)
Shift: 7:00 PM – 7:30 AM

Job Description

Work in a Step Down unit with patient ratios:
- 3:1 ratio in Step Down
- 5:1 ratio on day shift
- 6:1 ratio on night shift
Responsibilities include:
- Medication administration
- Patient assessments
- Developing and managing care plans
- Physical tasks such as ACLS pushing, pulling, and lifting
Emphasis on communication and teamwork

Required Qualifications

Valid RN license in New York
Minimum 2 years of experience in Progressive Care Unit (PCU)
PCU experience within the last year
BLS certification issued by the American Heart Association
ACLS certification issued by the American Heart Association
8 hours of Stroke Training
Associate of Science in Nursing (ASN) or Associate Degree in Nursing (ADN)

Notes

All required health and professional documentation must be current and complete prior to start.
Annual requirements include flu vaccine, TB test, fit test, and physical exam.
Prior travel experience is not explicitly required for this position.
