Job Opportunity: RN Emergency Room

Location: Racine, Wisconsin
Employment Type: Long-Term Assignment (13 weeks)
Shift: 7:00 AM – 7:30 PM

Job Description

Work every 3rd weekend and every other holiday (EOH)
Must have at least 2 years of Emergency Room nursing experience
Experience with EPIC electronic health record system required
Prior travel experience required
May be required to float onsite within skill set or to other sites within 40 miles

Required Qualifications

Valid RN license in Wisconsin
Minimum of 2 years of Emergency Department (ED) nursing experience, with at least some experience within the last year
Completion of at least one travel nursing assignment
Basic Life Support (BLS) certification issued by the American Heart Association
Pediatric Advanced Life Support (PALS) certification issued by the American Heart Association
Advanced Cardiovascular Life Support (ACLS) certification issued by the American Heart Association
Trauma Nursing Core Course (TNCC) certification
NIH Stroke Scale (NIHSS) certification
Associate of Science in Nursing (ASN) or Associate Degree in Nursing (ADN)
Experience with Epic electronic health record system

Onboarding and Competency Requirements

Completion of specialty exam with minimum 80% passing score, updated every 3 years
Completion of core competencies including HIPAA, Joint Commission, OSHA topics, with minimum 80% passing score, updated every 3 years
Ascension EKG exam with minimum 80% passing score, updated every 3 years
Ascension Epic test-out and training checklist with signed attestation
Ascension color vision test, updated every 3 years
Ascension skills checklist for specialty, updated annually
Completion of onboarding education attestation and contract worker onboarding onsite
Professional references (minimum two) and criminal background check including social security trace, OIG search, and national sex offender registry
Employment and education verifications completed within 90 days of start and updated annually or after breaks in service

Additional Notes

Must provide a professional resume/profile and signed assignment agreement
May be required to provide a forward-facing badge photo with no alterations
Optional: Management of Assaultive Behavior (MOAB) certification recommended
Travel experience is mandatory for this role
