Registered Nurse – Medical (Hilo, HI) – Contract

Job Details

Location: Hilo, Hawaii
Employment Type: Contract
Contract Length: 15 weeks
Shift: Variable shifts; must be flexible to work various shift lengths and days
Scheduled Hours: 36 hours per week after first full week of orientation
Orientation: Department-specific training included during the first week
Start Requirements: Must arrive the Thursday before start date for employee health appointment on Friday; timely arrival is mandatory

Job Description

Provide med/surg level care for adult patients (18 and over)
May float to surgical, pediatric, or transitional care units
Utilize equipment such as Meditech EMR, Pyxis, wound vac, chest tubes, etc.
Nurse-to-patient ratio: 1:5
Dress code: Professional nursing attire, closed-toe shoes, no specific scrub colors required

Required Qualifications

Valid RN license in Hawaii
Minimum 2 years of Med Surg experience, including experience within the last year
BLS certification
Associate of Science in Nursing (ASN) or Associate Degree in Nursing (ADN)

Additional Information

No holiday return-to-office (RTO) requests allowed
No guarantee of shift preference or hours
