Operating Room Registered Nurse

Location: Lawton, Oklahoma
Employment Type: Contract
Shift: 6:30a–3p, Monday–Friday, with call
Hours per Week: 36
Contract Length: 13 weeks

Required Qualifications

• Associate of Science in Nursing / Associate Degree in Nursing
• Valid RN license in Oklahoma
• Operating Room experience within the last year
• 2 years of Operating Room experience
• BLS

Preferred Qualifications

• BSN

Certifications

• ACLS
• BLS/BCLS
• PALS

Role Overview

• Provides safe, effective, quality patient-family centered care in the operating room and other perioperative areas
• Acts as a patient advocate
• Meets surgical standards of nursing practice
• Develops and implements total nursing care through assessment, nursing diagnosis, and care planning
• Works collaboratively with the healthcare team and ancillary personnel
• Performs age-specific care and interaction
• Completes head-to-toe assessments and reassessments, including pediatric and geriatric patients
• Assesses and reassesses pain and uses appropriate pain management techniques
