Travel RN Opportunity - Trauma Unit

Location: Miami, Florida

Position Details

Specialty: Registered Nurse (RN) - Trauma
Employment Type: Travel
Contract Length: 13 weeks

Experience Requirements

Minimum 2 years trauma experience OR
1 year experience at a large institution (Level 1 trauma experience)
Prior travel experience: Not required

Certifications Required

ACLS (Advanced Cardiovascular Life Support)
BLS (Basic Life Support)
PALS (Pediatric Advanced Life Support)
TNCC (Trauma Nursing Core Course)

Unit Information

Trauma or RN Unit (Cost Center 705)
Number of Beds: 18 OR suites plus 2 minor rooms
Patient Ratios: 1:1
Documentation System: Meditech
Call Requirements: 24-hour trauma service coverage, 12-hour shifts, alternate weekends, on-call assignments

Skills and Abilities

Ability to circulate in Trauma, General, Orthopedic, Neuro, and Vascular procedures
Experience with Meditech documentation system required

Typical Procedures Performed

Total Joint procedures
Robotic gynecology oncology
Craniotomy procedures

Additional Information

Surgical scrubs provided as dress code
The unit is part of an exceptional Burn and Trauma Center
Recognized as a top performer in Robotic Surgery in South Florida

This role is ideal for experienced trauma RNs looking for a travel assignment in a high-acuity Level 1 trauma center with a supportive multidisciplinary team.

I worked in the Respiratory department. The Respiratory manager Alex was a fantastic woman. She does all the on boarding education and she’s your number one person to call for any clinical information scheduling information. She was fantastic.

They need to upgrade their RT equipment and their charting system
