Travel contract
Contract length: 13 weeks

Facility & Unit Overview

225-bed specialty care hospital
Level 2 Trauma Center
Unit: Acute Medical/Surgical (6th floor)
Patient population: Adult and geriatric (ages 18-125)
Patient ratios: 5:1 to 6:1
Equipment includes telemetry monitors, Baxter IV pumps, Kangaroo pump, bladder scanner, and dynamaps
Electronic Health Record system: Cerner

Schedule

Shift: 7:00 PM – 7:00 AM
Weekly guaranteed hours: 36
Weekend hours: Rotating
Occasional float to similar units

Required Qualifications

Valid Registered Nurse (RN) license in Michigan
Minimum 2 years of Medical/Surgical nursing experience
Medical/Surgical nursing experience within the last year
Bachelor of Science in Nursing (BSN)

Preferred Experience

Prior experience on a medical/surgical unit

Additional Information

Orientation occurs bi-weekly
Dress code: Galaxy Blue scrubs preferred; Navy scrubs also acceptable
Fingernails must be clean, short, and comply with hand hygiene policy
Tattoos that may be offensive must be covered
Excessive jewelry is not allowed

Notes

Candidates must be located 60 miles or more from the facility to qualify for travel status
