Physical Therapist

Location: Danville, Illinois
Setting: Outpatient
Schedule: Day shift, Monday–Friday, variable hours
Hours: 40 per week
Contract length: 13 weeks

Required Qualifications

• Valid Physical Therapist license in Illinois
• Physical Therapist experience within the last year
• At least 1 year of Physical Therapist experience
• BLS issued by American Heart Association
• Bachelor's degree in Physical Therapy

Role Overview

• Evaluate and treat patients of all ages
• Develop and adjust plans of care based on patient response and evidence
• Perform examinations, screening, objective testing, and documentation
• Educate patients, families, caregivers, students, and other healthcare providers
• Communicate with referring providers regarding patient progress and treatment recommendations
• Use support personnel according to legal and ethical standards

Key Clinical Responsibilities

• Assist with patient transfers as needed
• Apply safe body mechanics
• Treat orthopedic and neurologic impairments
• Complete therapeutic modalities as appropriate, including ultrasound, interferential, and iontophoresis
• Apply tape for stabilization, facilitation, or inhibition of movement
• Complete daily documentation and charging in therapy EMR
