Job Opportunity: Electrophysiology Lab Registered Nurse (RN) - Travel/Contract
Location
- Roanoke, Virginia
Contract Length
- 13 weeks
Schedule
- 4 shifts per week, 10 hours each (7:00 AM – 5:30 PM)
- Rotating late shifts; no weekends or on-call required
- Must be available to work or take call one holiday per 13-week contract (rotated among staff)
- Electrophysiology Lab closes on facility holidays
Licensing & Certifications Required
- Valid Registered Nurse (RN) license for Virginia
- Basic Life Support (BLS) - AHA only
- Advanced Cardiac Life Support (ACLS) - AHA only
Required Clinical Skills & Experience
- Electrophysiology (EP) Lab experience with scrub experience required
- Proficient in EP mapping
- Skilled in sterile technique, EKG lead placement, and dysrhythmia recognition/interpretation
- Cardiac background knowledge
- Experience with fluoroscopy, Siemens, Ultrasound, Phillips, Carto Ensite, and Cardiolab equipment
- Knowledge of isolation precautions, equipment handling, and supply management
Charting System
- Epic electronic health record system experience required
Candidate Requirements
- Valid RN license in Virginia
- Associate of Science in Nursing / Associate Degree in Nursing
- Cardiac Cath Lab experience within the last year (minimum 1 year)
- Electrophysiology Lab experience
- Scrub experience
- Dysrhythmia recognition and interpretation
- Basic Life Support (BLS) issued by American Heart Association
- Advanced Cardiac Life Support (ACLS)
Background & Compliance
- 7-year background check required within 1 year of start (covering all locations lived/worked in past 7 years)
- E-Verify or attestation required
- EPLS/GSA/SAM and HHS/OIG checks required within 30 days of start and updated for contract renewals/extensions
- Primary source verification of state license and NURSYS verification required within 30 days of start
- Drug screening: Negative 10-panel drug test within 30 days of start (instant acceptable)
- Physical exam within 1 year of start confirming freedom from communicable diseases
- Negative TB test or chest X-ray within 1 year of start; TB questionnaire required for all candidates
- Required immunizations or positive titers: Measles (Rubeola), Mumps, Rubella, Varicella, Hepatitis B
- Fit test for mask within 1 year of start, updated annually (not required for students)
