RN Tele

Overview

• Travel/contract RN Tele role in Harvey, Illinois.
• Night shift: 3x12 hours, 18:45–7:15.
• 36 hours per week.
• Ratios: 1:6.
• Contract length: 13 weeks.
• First-timers accepted.
• Locals accepted.
• Floating required.
• Every other weekend required.
• RTO restriction: 7 days max.
• Charting: Epic.

Required Qualifications

• Valid RN license in Illinois.
• Associate of Science in Nursing / Associate Degree in Nursing.
• 1 year of telemetry experience.
• Telemetry experience within the last year.
• BLS - Basic Life Support issued by American Heart Association.
• Competence in rhythm strip interpretation and EKG use.
• Experience with ventilator management.
• Experience with cardiac or critical care drips such as dobutamine, amiodarone, and cardizem.
• Drivers License/State ID.
• Current resume including the last 7 years of employment.
• 2 references.
• Work history verification covering 7 years of employment.
• Skills checklist for the traveler’s unit and any units they may float to.
• Employment application.
• Background check.
• Drug test.
• Physical exam.
• Fit mask.
• Tetanus/Diphtheria/Tdap.
• Negative TB or chest X-ray.
• Rubeola (Measles) immunity documentation.
• Mumps immunity documentation.
• Rubella immunity documentation.
• Hepatitis B immunity documentation.
• Varicella immunity documentation.
• Flu seasonal vaccination/documentation.
• Photo for badge.
• Facility orientation modules.
• Illinois DPH HCWR fingerprint results, if the role does not require an Illinois state license.

Preferred

• Competence in initiating and maintaining cardiac drips such as dobutamine, amiodarone, and cardizem.
• Chronic vent experience.
• Use of EKG.
