Labor and Delivery RN Travel Contract

Location

Eureka, California

Assignment Details

Start date: ASAP
Contract length: 13 weeks
Shift: Night, 4x12 hours
Hours per week: 48
Weekend coverage required to meet staffing needs
Travelers float first within their scope to meet facility needs
First-time travelers accepted
RTO limit: no more than 7 days

Unit / Patient Population

Labor and Delivery
Postpartum experience preferred
High-risk OB and culturally diverse patient population
RNs circulate on cesarean sections
Average daily census: 15–20
Visits per day: 20
Rooms/beds: 11/15

Required Qualifications

Valid RN license in California
Labor and Delivery experience within the last year
1 year of Labor and Delivery experience
Associate of Science in Nursing / Associate Degree in Nursing
ACLS
BLS issued by American Heart Association or Canadian Heart Stroke Foundation
NRP
NIHSS

Additional Requirements

Fit mask clearance
Respiratory safety clearance
Negative TB or chest X-ray
Tdap within 10 years
Measles, mumps, rubella, varicella, hepatitis B, flu season documentation, and COVID documentation
Drug screen
Physical exam
Minimum of 2 references covering 1 year of employment total within the last 3 years in a comparable specialty/setting
Employment application covering at least the last 5 years
Skills checklist

Background check
