Registered Nurse — Medical/Surgical Telemetry

Job Overview

• Travel/contract role in Odessa, Texas
• Night shift: 4x12 hours, 6:45 PM–7:15 AM
• Schedule options: straight 48s or alternating 36/48
• Contract length: 13 weeks
• Urgent need

Required Qualifications

• Valid RN license in Texas
• Med Surg / Telemetry (2 years of experience)
• Med Surg / Telemetry experience within the last year
• One completed travel assignment
• ACLS - Advanced Cardiac Life Support issued by American Heart Association
• BLS issued by American Heart Association
• NIHSS
• Associate of Science in Nursing / Associate Degree in Nursing

Required Certifications

• BLS
• ACLS
• NIH Stroke Certification for RNs working in ICU, MS, and MS/Tele
• Pass/Fail Testing (EKG/Medication)
• Acknowledgement of PassFail Testing

Compliance and Onboarding

• Government-issued photo ID
• E-Verify or attestation
• Background check
• 7-year background check within 30 days of start
• EPLS/GSA/SAM within 30 days of start
• HHS/OIG within 30 days of start
• NURSYS verification within 30 days of start
• State license verification within 30 days of start
• Orientation Safety Manual acknowledgement
• Competency exam
• Medication test/pharmacology competency exam
• Employment application or resume
• 2 references within 3 years of start
• Skills checklist

Health Requirements

• Physical exam within 1 year of start
• Fit test within 1 year, updated annually
• Tdap within 10 years of start
• Negative TB screening or chest X-ray
• Measles, mumps, rubella, hepatitis B, and varicella immunity/documentation
• Drug screen within 30 days of start
• Flu vaccine or declination during flu season
• COVID initial series or facility-specific declination

• Must complete required onboarding modules within 72 hours of signing
• Candidate must be willing to complete facility-specific forms and acknowledgements before start
