Overview

• Role: PT Home Health
• Location: Dunedin, Florida
• Employment type: Travel/Contract
• Schedule: Day shift, 5x8 hours, 8:00–17:00
• Hours: 40 per week
• Contract length: 20 weeks
• Locals: Accepted at the same rate

Setting and patient population

• Home health / home skilled visits
• Patients include cardiopulmonary, geriatrics, neuro, ortho, and oncology populations
• Typical caseload is 6–8 visits per day, with a minimum of 6 points per day at manager discretion
• Self-scheduled based on the needs of the HomeCare office
• Every 3rd weekend is required

Required qualifications

• Valid Physical Therapist license in Florida
• Physical Therapist (2 years of experience)
• Physical Therapist experience within the last year
• BLS - Basic Life Support issued by American Heart Association
• Experience in a Home Health setting
• Driver's License
• Car for home visits
• COVID vaccination or exemption on file
• Flu shot or declination, with mandatory mask wearing in either case

• Patient/family education
• Signs and symptoms of physical, sexual, and psychological abuse
• Safety and injury prevention

• MiFi for internet access

Additional notes

• Any solid color scrubs
• Personal or auto insurance is required for home health positions
• Physical exam required within 6 months of start
• Negative TB or chest X-ray required within 10 weeks of start
• Drug testing required within 30 days
• References: 2 required from within the past 2 years
