Registered Nurse role providing care to a group of patients during a designated time frame, with responsibilities centered on assessment, care planning, implementation, evaluation, documentation, and patient safety.

Required Qualifications

Valid RN license in Illinois
DOU - Direct Observation Unit (1 year of experience)
DOU - Direct Observation Unit experience within the last year
BLS issued by American Heart Association
Associate of Science in Nursing / Associate Degree in Nursing

Education

ASN required

Key Responsibilities

Complete initial patient assessments and develop care plans
Implement nursing interventions and patient care procedures
Reassess and modify care plans based on patient response
Maintain accurate nursing documentation
Assess IV sites every 4 hours and start new IVs per policy
Identify changes in patient status and respond appropriately
Support patient and employee safety by reporting or correcting hazards and incidents
Attend 5 of 6 staff meetings per year
