Job info

Registered Nurse – Behavioral Health

Location: Terre Haute, Indiana
Shift: Nights (3 x 12-hour shifts)
Contract Length: 13 weeks

Unit Overview

19 beds
Total unit staff: 45
Night shift staffing includes 3 RNs and 2 Mental Health Technicians
Patient ratio: 1 RN to 6-7 patients
Equipment used includes wheelchairs, occasional cycler dialysis, and some wound vacs/dressings
Electronic Medical Record system: Meditech

Job Responsibilities

Blood glucose checks
Medication administration
Patient assessments and documentation
Occasional dressing changes

Required Qualifications

Minimum 2 years of Behavioral Health nursing experience
BLS (Basic Life Support) certification
CPI (Crisis Prevention Intervention) certification

Preferred Qualifications

Prior medical nursing experience
Experience with Meditech EMR system

Additional Information

Floating may include Medical/Surgical units
Immediate start preferred (backfill position)
Travel Behavioral Health Nurse role
Candidates must be located more than 50 miles away from the facility (no local candidates accepted)
Radius rule: candidates within 50-100 miles considered at a reduced rate (pay details excluded)

36 hours per week (3 shifts of 12 hours each)
