Endoscopy Technician (Full-Time) - Contract

Location: Grand Junction, Colorado
Employment Type: Contract
Schedule: Day shift, 36 hours per week
Contract Length: 6 weeks

Job Summary

• Prepare and sterilize rooms and endoscopic equipment before and after procedures
• Support physicians and registered nurses during procedures
• Verify equipment functionality and perform safety checks
• Maintain and repair endoscopic equipment as needed
• Collect and deliver specimens while maintaining sterile field
• Assist with patient intake, transport, paperwork, and documentation of physician observations
• Place monitoring devices on patients (e.g., blood pressure cuffs, cardiac electrodes, pulse oximeters)
• Provide information about equipment during in-service training sessions
• Participate in ongoing training to maintain and refresh professional skills

Required Qualifications

• Minimum 6 months of experience as an Endoscopy Technician, with experience within the last year
• Basic Life Support (BLS) certification
• Associate degree in Medical Assisting or Surgical Technology, or equivalent experience in an Endoscopy Technician role
